uber kids photography

I had so much fun with this family. Isaac and Claire were full of mischief and were happy to muck around for the camera. We managed a few traditional family photos and then the kids got to have some fun! I love sessions where the kids are able to just be themselves. I am able to capture their personalities.

This shoot turned into a challenge! Sophie is 2 and the twins Allanah and Chloe 9mths. We attempted to get them to all sit together but there always seemed to be one wandering or crawling off.....

We had a fantastic maternity session with Jodie a couple of months ago and today I got to meet the gorgeous Chloe.

She is a perfect little angel. She didn't cry once no matter how many times we took her clothes off (I'm sure having Dad make sure the house was warm before I came helped). As soon as I was finished she curled up and went to sleep without a sound. (I wish I could have got my first baby off to sleep like that!) I'm looking forward to photographing her as she grows. Its always special to watch the changes through their first year, they change so much!

My session this afternoon was so much fun! I met Leyda at a wedding a few months ago, she was the videographer. We started talking and she mentioned they really wanted to get a family portrait done as they were moving back to the US very soon.

When I first meet a family at their session we talk about what kind of photos they would like. Leyda and Rob gave me total freedom to shoot as I wanted. For me thats pretty exciting as it means that I don't have to work towards any shots and I can just let the session take me where it leads me. I am able to capture those real moments between a family.

Solana just loved playing in the sand (and kept trying to escape into the water as well). I think the photos show what a gorgeous family they are and how much they adore their little girl.

A family storyboard

This is my third session with this family over the last year. It has been great to watch the kids grow over the year.

Today was a surprise party for the kids grandmother and a good opportunity to get the whole clan together for a group shot.
